Electronic Transfer System Login Update – Upcoming Authentication Changes
Electronic
Transfer System (ETS) will implement changes to its user
authentication process, effective September 2026.
Site
administrator(s) for your organization’s ETS account will receive
an email outlining the upcoming changes and the associated readiness
activities. Additional guidance, resources, and timelines will be
provided to support a smooth transition.
The current
sign-on process will remain in place until February 2027,
allowing site administrator(s) sufficient time to complete the
required steps to transition users to the new Alberta Account for
Organizations authentication process.
Please ensure
your organization’s site administrator(s) information is current.

Electronic Transfer System Authentication Changes Overview
What Changed?
Electronic
Transfer System (ETS) has updated how users sign-in as part of a
broader Government of Alberta initiative to standardize how
individuals and organizations sign in to online services. Going
forward, individuals will use their own Alberta.ca Account for
Organizations (AAO) and access ETS through their respective
organization in AAO.
Authorization to
access ETS continues to be managed by site administrator(s). Users
are authenticated during sign-in based on matching the company name,
first name, last name and email address maintained in their ETS user
profile, and authorization is determined by the access and roles
already configured for them in ETS.
Users who have
access to more than one organization will be prompted to select which
organization they are signing in on behalf of. There are no changes
to the user-facing authorization features in ETS, nor to how
company site administrator(s) assign roles to accounts.
